La Tania Undiscovered

La Tania lies in the Courchevel Valley between Meribel and Courchevel. It is in a perfect ski location yet it remains relatively hidden as a holiday destination.

La Tania’s main features are its size – although it houses various apartment blocks, chalets and hotels it is very compact around a centre of restaurants, bars, shops and a cinema, the fact that it is traffic-free meaning its peaceful and fresh, and its atmosphere – most small ski resorts lack charm and spirit but La Tania oozes it.

And also the fact that it’s almost central to the world’s biggest linked ski area and world renowned pistes.
The combination of these factors make the resort a brilliant place for a family holiday, the children can explore freely and never be too far away while the parents can relax with a vin chaud.

Being situated right on the piste and in the middle of the Three Valleys, keen skiers wouldn’t lose a second’s ski time commuting to the slopes and after one chairlift Courchevel and Meribel are at your feet with Val Thorens over the hill.

Still relatively cheap and without Courchevel’s airs and graces or Val Thorens’ grand size, La Tania is a charming manageable resort with something for everyone.

Ski Savvy, the Three Valley package holiday specialist do packages to La Tania starting at £352 pp for a week in January including flights, transfer and accommodation (based on 4 sharing). Check out www.ski-savvy.com for more information.
